Bodinnick near Fowey
An excursion via ferry to a cosy pub…
Take the cute little ferry from Fowey — it’s best to park on the Fowey side at Caffa Mill where the ferry goes from, and go across as foot passengers.
On the right is Ferryside, past home of Daphne Du Maurier https://www.visitcornwall.com/about-cornwall/blogging-cornwall/daphne-du-mauriers-cornwall.
A little way up the hill on the right is The Old Ferry Inn — cosy bar downstairs — lounge with views of the estuary, and a fabulous roof terrace with one of the best views in Cornwall, down the river to the sea. The food is good but book ahead in high season 01726 870237.
Don’t forget to note the time of the last ferry back, they stop at dusk in summer…
