The Hidden Hut

A glorious food shack…

This must be one of the top holiday lunch destinations in the known universe, and one of our favourite small adventures. Down by Portscatho on the remote Roseland Peninsula, a short walk along a sandy coast path brings you to this food shack overlooking the beach. Gorgeous home-cooked food, served by cheery hipster types. Make a day of it and visit Falmouth and Saint Mawes, can’t go wrong really.

You can get fish and stews and dahl, fresh fish from the local day boats, and local beef. Flatbreads and houmous; pasties, home-made sausage rolls;  vegetarian soups, fresh baked bread and olive oil croutons on a Sunday. There are special feast nights, for which check their website, you will need tickets for these, which you can book on eventbright..

The season runs from the end of March till the end of October. Dogs and even children are welcome. You can pay by card.
