What a view! Gin bar too!…

What a brilliant location! What peculiar ornamentation! On a warm summer’s evening you could be in Italy — there are formal gardens with closely clipped lawns, surrounded by huge cedars, and a wide view of the sparkling ocean.

It’s a bit posh, so don’t turn up in your flip-flops. Dog friendly. Pleasant staff.

The restaurant is Fine Dining, and fine it is, so we are told. There is a “Lounge Menu” which is also perfectly fine food with less hoo ha.

Our favourite is the gin bar, they do a surprising range of cocktails (who knew there were so many varieties of gin!), and the friendly bar person will happily relate exotic tales of artisan gin making for the booze nerd in you.

HOW TO GET THERE:From Frieda and the Moon, turn right at the end of the track and proceed through Pelynt. At the Barcelona T-junction turn right and then immediately left. Follow the lane, and you will come to the hotel on the left.
